This came to me via phone from my brother yesterday while I was at a wedding, but Activision and Infinity Ward have finally released the much anticipated Map Pack for Call of Duty 4 via Xbox Live (you have the option from the multiplayer menu in-game to download the pack). Unfortunately being stuck at the wedding meant I had to wait to get my hands on it.

For all you PS3 and PC owners out there, unfortunately it's still not available to you. You'll have to wait a couple more weeks for the PS3 download while Infinity Ward and Activision are still working out a pricing system for the PC maps.

There are four new maps, Broadcast, Creek, Chinatown and Killhouse. And, while it's almost over, Infinity Ward were nice enough to offer double XP while playing the maps from Friday through to midnight tonight.

If you've had a play through, drop us a comment and tell us what you think.

Bahahahah charging for PC maps.

Glad I haven't shelved a cent for this game.

A lot of work has gone into these maps - it works out to be about $10 for four of them. I know companies should support their products free after initial purchase, but with all the cross platform development now, I can see why the landscape is changing.

I've been playing them all afternoon, they're awesome - I really don't mind having paid $10
